Hours running: 3 Total hours: 3
Lastnight I attended A "At The Crossroads" event party for the people who are donaters to the At The Crossroads organization. There i spent time with my mentor shadowing her from 7pm-10pm. There I visited all the stations they had set up that taught the people more about the goals of their organization, getting more familiar with the staff & their daily basis job, and even some background information on certain clients. They gave out free stickers, pens, posters, and food for the people who took the time to attend this event held on harrison street. The start of gaining my 25 hours. Here we go.

Fiscal Cliff Response
[A] In the house of representatives there are two main sides, Democratic and Republican. These two main sides both represent for different individuals and bases their decisons off of the peoples needs and personal beliefs. For example, the postion of a Democratic representative provides more for the people and takes the time to listen to what people want, and try to make it happen. They believe in moreso of equality for all and recognizing how to distribute money but also knowing how to take away from irrelevant events rather as to taking away from the important and neccasary events. Then on the other hand, you have Republicans, which hold more of an opposite interest then democratic views and rather try to select the strongest reublican representative running for office that they feel is trustworthy enough to hold their power, make the decisons, and steer them in what they think is the right direction.
[B.] Since using Google, Bing, and Internet explorerer is such a basic and widespread media that offers many options for your search, in order to research the main point and hit the main topics, the search needed to be narrowed down. One technique i used to limit my search was to look up certain words and only would type in the main words i would be trying to get information on. For example, "Republican party" or "Democratic party"then from the results given, i would try and exclude irrelevant sites that are known for giving off false information. Another basic way i used to get certain information would be to ask a specific question with keys words as to "who, what, where, when," etc...
